Trip to Karur

Boarded train at tambaram - mangalore express at 11.50pm. Trains to outstation will stop at Platform 7 & 8 in Tambaram. Train stops only for 2 minutes. it goes via trichy, karur. reached karur by 7.00am. Hotel padma tower is booked for us. it is in thantondri malai. Budget hotel. It is near by v.m. mahal. Had breakfast and attended marriage. Then went to temple 500m from mahal. Kalyana venkatarama Swamy. Had a pleasant dharsan. Then caught auto to karur bus stop. Bus to chennai is rare. So got bus to trichy by 10.45pm. around 2 hours travel. Reached Trichy at 12.45. Had a lunch in Bombay chapathi hotel. It is decent one with parotta and veg briyani. Each one cost Rs.50. Then got the bus to chennai A/c seater charged around 425rs. By around 3.30pm, bus stopped at Ulundurpettai for Tea/snacks. It is acharya hotel, very neatly maintained hotel. Had a coffee. Then bus started, reached the Perungalathur at 7.30pm. Its a tightly packed schedule. We should have booked the bus through SETC in Karur to reach Chennai it may save some time instead of route via Trichy.
